DEEP CREEK YACHT RACING
ASSOCIATION
Spring 2010
Sailors and
Friends of Sailing,
DCYRA is pleased to announce the 2010 race program. Please check the Racing Schedule for your duty
assignments; if unable to serve please make every effort to find a qualified
substitute. To
optimize balance of experience on the RC boat ALL REQUESTS FOR CHANGES TO THE
PRO OR ASSISTANT PRO SCHEDULE MUST BE APPROVED BY THE DCYRA RACE COMMANDER, BRUCE
SPINNENWEBER. Notify Patrol Coordinator Barbara
Meredith of any changes to the patrol schedule.
Please use
one registration form for each boat you register, additional forms can be
downloaded from our website, www.dcyra.org. Reminder if you wish to be scored return your
dues along with the completed and signed registration form to Barbara Griffin,
Treasurer of DCYRA.
DCYRA strongly encourages joining your national class organization in addition to U.S. Sailing. The Flying Scot Sailing Association for Flying Scots (www.fssa.com) and The International Laser Class Organization for Lasers (www.laser.com).
The FSSA is one of the strongest one-design class associations in the world. Flying Scots remain compatible and competitive regardless of age due to the strict adherence to the one design concept. FSSA promotes the Flying Scot maintaining the boats popularity and re-sale value. The International Laser Class Organization has similar goals for the Laser.
Looking forward to a GREAT summer of sailing
Ray Miller
President, DCYRA
